A look back at 2020

2020 has been a tough year for everyone and now we embark on 2021 with renewed hope of an end to the Coronavirus.

In terms of my own business, when the first lockdown began in March, my business fell very quiet. Then I began to get queries frorm clients about how to cope with Covid – 19 in their workplaces and then in April I was happy to take part in a webinar with the Waterford Chamber of Commerce on Covid -19.

Once the Government and Health and Safety Authority  published the Return to Work Protocol which I had to get to grips with, the the phone started ringing. I became very busy preparing Return to Work Protocol documents for all sorts of clients.  Later a whole range of other Guidance was released dealing with pubs, hotels, restaurants, childcare etc. all of which I studied so I could provide competent advice on all of them.

Overall I have provided advice and prepared Return to Work documents for over 50 companies, organisations and individuals on Covid – 19.  I have also delivered Induction Training to employees in a range of settings.  My clients have included manufacturing, retail, hospitality, hire companies, motor dealerships, not for profit and more.

Then in November 2020 the Government updated the original Protocol and issued the Work Safely Protocol which necessitated an update so I am working with clients on that too right now.

So what started out as a quiet year became one of my busiest.  Remember none of us had heard of the Coronavirus back in January and now it impacts on all of our lives.

As always if you need advice on any aspect of Covid -19 as it impacts on your business please contact me.
